I’m looking for a lovely new home for my Western hognose snake.
He’s a beautiful standard/wild-type morph, approximately 5–6 years old (age estimated from when I purchased him in 2024).
He’s believed to be male, although not formally sexed, and is a particularly good-sized hognose at approximately 2ft long.
Feeding: An excellent, reliable feeder, currently taking 6–10g mice weekly without any issues.
Temperament: He can occasionally be a little hissy when approached in his enclosure, but once out he’s lovely to handle. He’s an active, inquisitive snake with plenty of personality!
Optional complete setup available, including:
- 3ft wooden vivarium with sliding glass doors
- Heat lamp with Microclimate dimming thermostat
- Arcadia UVB lighting (currently measuring 1.7–2.1 UVI using a Solarmeter 6.5)
- Cork bark, artificial foliage and furnishings
The vivarium has some cosmetic wear but is functional. The UV tube’s age is unknown.
I’m equally happy for him to go to an experienced keeper who already has a suitable enclosure or with his current setup.
My priority is finding him a knowledgeable, caring home where he’ll have plenty of space, enrichment and proper husbandry.
Happy to answer questions and provide further information.
Located in Hornsea, East Yorkshire.
£50 snake only – complete setup available by negotiation.
